Read & Match
Read the sentence, then find the picture that matches!
What your child learns
- Reading short sentences for meaning: who, doing what, and where
- Spotting small differences: "a red ball" or "a yellow ball", "on the bed" or "under the bed"
- Position words (on, under, in) and colors inside a sentence
- With the Vietnamese voice, kids read simple Vietnamese sentences instead
How to play
- Press "Play now". The sentence appears in big letters at the top.
- Read it, then tap the picture that matches. On a computer, keys 1, 2 and 3 work too.
- Stuck? Tap the speaker button to hear the sentence. It is not read out on its own, so kids practice reading.
- Pick the right picture on the first try to earn a star.
For parents
- It starts with two- and three-word sentences ("The dog runs.") and moves up to six words after a run of right answers.
- At the easiest level, a wrong pick makes the game read the sentence aloud once.
- Each wrong picture differs from the right one in one way (someone else, or something else), so the whole sentence matters.
- Read together, point to each word, then ask "Who is doing what?".
