Math Race
Solve a sum, move one step. Race to the finish!
What your child learns
- Quick recall of addition and subtraction facts within 5, then 10, then 20
- Finding the missing number in sums like 3 + ? = 5
- Solving with confidence, not in a hurry: there is no countdown
- Hearing the sums read aloud in English or Vietnamese
How to play
- Press "Play now". Listen to the sum, then tap the right number button. On a computer you can type the number.
- Each right answer moves your car one step. A wrong button gets locked so your child can try again; after two misses the right one glows as a hint.
- A little cloud races along in the sky. It never gets far ahead: it drifts on a little, waits for the car, and only reaches the finish after the car does.
- A race has 8 or 10 sums. Finish with at most one mistake to earn a star.
For parents
- The game builds speed without pressure: no timer, no penalties, and a slow race still ends at the finish line with praise.
- Addition and subtraction levels grow separately: a run of right answers brings bigger numbers, and a few misses make it easier again.
- The wrong choices are always close to the answer (1 to 3 away), so guessing by size does not work.
- If your child still counts on fingers, that is fine. Familiar facts like 5 + 5 and 10 − 1 will soon come from memory.
