Crocodile Compare
The hungry crocodile always opens its mouth toward the bigger side!
What your child learns
- Comparing two groups of objects: more, fewer or the same
- Recognizing and using the >, < and = signs
- Comparing numbers within 10, then up to 20
- Saying the comparison out loud, like "five is greater than three"
How to play
- Look at the left and right sides; the empty box in the middle is for the sign.
- Tap one of the three sign cards below, or drag it into the empty box.
- Pick the right one and the crocodile chomps toward the bigger side and reads the answer aloud.
- If both sides are the same, pick the equal sign. A right answer on the first try earns a star.
For parents
- Share the trick: the crocodile's mouth always opens toward the bigger amount.
- It starts with small groups that differ clearly; as your child gets answers right, numbers and equal pairs appear.
- Count each group out loud together before choosing. After two wrong tries, the right sign blinks as a hint.
- Progress and difficulty are saved on this device.
