Big & Small
Put the elephant and the mouse on the scale and watch it tip!
What your child learns
- Comparing longer and shorter with pencils, snakes and ribbons
- Comparing taller and shorter with giraffes, pine trees and towers
- How a balance scale works: the heavier side goes down
- Putting three things in order, from shortest to longest or shortest to tallest
How to play
- Listen to the question, such as "Which one is longer?", then tap the right one.
- On the balance scale, tap each thing to put it on a pan, watch the scale tip, then pick the heavier side.
- In order questions, tap from the smallest one up; each right tap shows a number.
For parents
- Keep comparing in everyday life: "Spoon or chopstick, which is longer?", "Who is taller, you or Dad?".
- Higher levels show a big but light balloon next to a small but heavy rock: remind your child to watch the scale, not the size.
- It gets harder on its own: closer sizes, opposite questions (shorter, lighter) and putting three things in order.
